A Bike Ride!

Ryan has been wanting a bike for a while. The deal was he could get a bike as soon as he sold his all-in-one gym that's just been taking up space and collecting dust behind a door. So about a month ago he sold the gym and looked at some bikes, but didn't get one. 2 weeks ago I surprised Ryan with the bike. I was at Target and saw one I thought he would like and it happened to be on sale! A couple days later we went out looking for a seat so Piper could ride with him. We ended up buying a trailer for the back, since it was more practical. We got Piper a pretty pink helmet. Of course, the helmet is too big! We got the smallest we could find (ages 1+) but Piper isn't the same size as your average one year old so it's big on her. We added padding but it didn't help much. The way the seat is inside the trailer, when she has the helmet on it's hard for her to turn her head, so Daddy will have to ride on his own for a while until we get something figured out!

Bath Time Fun!

Grandpa Smith taught Piper how to splash in the pool. Now she thinks that she's supposed to splash in the bath too. The floor was soaked after this bath!

Piper's First Boo Boo

This past Friday Daddy had rehearsal, so Mommy and Piper went over to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's for dinner. Piper was crawling around on the kitchen floor and went over to the kitchen chair to try to stand up. As she was trying to stand her feet slipped and she fell into the bottom wrung of the chair. She was fine, just one little mark beneath her eye. She cried for a little bit more because she was scared than because it hurt.

Popsicles and the 4th of July!

Yesterday Piper got to try eating her first popsicle on her own. At first she didn't understand that she was supposed to hold the stick and she just held onto the actaul popsicle, so she kept screaming cause it was too cold for her little hands. So we wrapped the wrapper around the stick to make it easier for her to hold. She really liked it, but got sick of it about 1/2 way through.

As our tradition goes, we spent the evening at Epcot. Aunt Susan and Uncle Jeff joined us. Piper was very cranky by the time the fireworks were starting cause it was way past her bedtime. She just kept her head on my shoulder and watched out of the corner of her eye. The first few scared her a bit and she began to cry, but she calmed right down as she saw the pretty lights.

Teeth!!!

Piper's first tooth is finally sort of visible in pictures. It is really hard to see, but if you click on the picture it will enlarge it and you can see better (not really the most flattering picture of Piper either). And yesterday her second tooth came in. When she got up yesterday morning she was really crabby, but there was no tooth yet. She kept on being moody right up until her morning nap. After her nap the tooth was there!

A Day at Universal with Friends

Mommy and Piper spent the day with the Krellers at Universal. Daddy was working, so he couldn't come, but we had a lot of fun anyways. The Krellers are moving to Georgia soon, so it's been nice to spend some extra time with them before they go!

Blowing Kisses

I finally got a video of Piper blowing kisses! The tooth still isn't big enough to show in photo yet. But soon I hope!

A quick update!

This weekend Piper started to make kissing sounds. Instead of just using her hand to blow kisses she has learned to make the sound too. It's so cute and she love to do it. And her first tooth is finally coming in. Last night she was screaming and crying for about a 1/2 an hour until we thought to check her mouth. Her gums looked a little swollen, so we gave her some tylenol and some yummy stuff to chew on. And within the next 1/2 hour (after the tylenol kicked in) she had calmed down. Today she was fine all day (according to Daddy) and you can't see it yet, but you can definitly feel it. So in the next couple days I'll try to get a video of blowing kisses and when the tooth is visible I'll try to get a photo!

New Website

Hi everybody! As you may know, we were trying out an ebay store. We recently closed it because it wasn't worth the money we were putting into it (too many fees etc). We have decided to try a different route. We will still be selling all of the same merchandise, plus some scrapbooks. As always, we will take custom orders! Here is the link to the NEW store:

Meeting Bear

Yesterday we had some errands to run at MGM. So we decided to call up Daddy's friend Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House. Went went to watch him perform in the show; Playhouse Disney Live. It was Piper's first time seeing the show and she really enjoyed it. Afterwards, when all the other people had left, Bear came back out just to meet Piper. She really liked him and wanted to keep giving him kisses.
