First Trip to Universal

Friday Aunt Susan and Uncle Jeff invited us for a day of fun at Universal. It was Piper's first trip to those parks. Some other friends came too; Michelina, Robbie and his son Dante, Dena and her son Zachary and Mikki and her daughter Cam. We spent most of the day at Universal Studios and in the late afternoon we went over to Islands of Adventure. It was a very long day, and by the end of it we were beat, but we had lots of fun.

Here are some picture from throughout the day; Piper in front of the Ghostbusters library; Family shot in front of the universal globe; Dante snacking on Cherrios in his stroller; Piper and Cam; Piper and Doc Brown; Group shot clockwise... Ryan, Dena, Robbie, Jeff, Michelina, Susan and me; Spider Family; You've heard of Cat in the Hat, how bout Piper in the Hat?; We bought Piper a Sponge Bob blanket buddy, here she is playing with it when we got home.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Just a few pictures of us playing with the camera the other day. Piper is doing very good with her "solid" foods. She's been eating every drop of what we make her and actually swallowing it, instead of spitting it out. Saturday she grabbed her feet for the first time and has been doing it ever since. Yesterday she put her toes in her mouth for the first time. Today is Daddy's birthday, so Mommy and Piper got up early to make pizza frite for breakfast and pack Daddy'd lunch. Tonight after Daddy gets out of work Grandma and Grandpa Smith are taking us all out to dinner! YAY!

Play 'n Dine

Today Mommy was working in the area instead of in the office. This is only the second time that Mommy has done sets since she's been back to work. This time it was a new dining location called Play 'n Dine. It's all Playhouse Disney characters, with some cute singing and dancing celebrations. Mommy was very good friends with JoJo, one of her favorites. Daddy, Piper, Grandma and Grandpa ate breakfast there, so that they could meet JoJo. Above is Daddy and Piper with JoJo and Goliath. Below; Grandpa, JoJo, Piper, Daddy and Grandma.

Playhouse Disney Dance Party

Last night Mommy, Daddy and Piper went to MGM... Piper's 5th trip! Every now and then there are special events for cast members and their families. First there was "A Conversation with John Tartaglia." He was a pupeteer for Sesame Street, Tony Winning Show; Avenue Q, and he is now the creator and star of children's TV show; Johnny and the Sprites. It was interesting and Daddy really enjoyed it. Then there was a Playhouse Disney dance party. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, JoJo, Goliath, Zowie and Olie were there to dance with the kids and take pictures. Piper only visited with Mickey, Minnie and Pluto though. Daddy was excited to introduce Piper to his favorite Puppy for the first time! And her first time meeting Mickey was extra special too, because Aunt Susan was very good friends with him. It was a lot of fun and we can't wait till Piper is old enough to REALLY enjoy these type of events.

Happy 4 Month Birthday Piper!

Hi Everybody! I'm 4 months old today and I'm growing and changing so quickly. I giggle for real now instead of just squealing. I love the sound of my own voice and I use it often, "talking" to myself, my toys and Mommy and Daddy. For the most part I'm a very good baby, especially when I get my way. I already have a little bit of an attitude, and I show it when I'm not the center of attention. I like to watch TV, the moving pictures amaze me. I always try to turn my head or wiggle my body so I can see it wherever Mommy and Daddy move me. I love to lay on the floor and play with my toys, most of them go straight into my mouth. My blanket buddy, Lamb-ie is soft and fuzzy on one side and silky on the other, so I love the way he feels on my face. Mommy and Daddy use him to play peek-a-boo with me, I laugh every time. I have a new toy called an exer-saucer. It's like a walker, except safer and better for my development. Right now my feet don't reach the bottom, so when I get bigger it will be a lot more fun. I eat some of my meals in my highchair now, just like a big girl. I had my first taste of "solid" food last night. I didn't like it at first, but I'll get the hang of it. Check back here often, because Mommy will keep on updating, so you can watch me grow just like Mommy and Daddy get to.

Visitors are Coming!

Grandma Hoffman and Grandpa Stevie are coming tonight for the weekend. Piper is so excited (as you can see). This morning she told me she wanted to wear her England shirt to surprise Grandpa Stevie (for those of you who may not know, he is from England). Piper can't wait to see what he says about her outfit, and she can't wait just to see him and Grandma.

Piper is hitting new milestones everyday. She really has never been a fan of tummy time. We roll her onto her tummy, she stays there for a minute or 2 and then starts to cry. She achieved rolling (or I should say flopping) from her tummy to her back when she was about a month old. But she often forgets to move her arm to prevent being stuck on her tummy. Last night Ryan and I were playing a game on the livingroom floor and Piper was laying on her blanket next to us playing with her toys. I looked down at her in between turns and she was laying on her tummy. I looked at Ryan and said, "How'd she get onto her tummy!? She rolled over all by herself!" We told her she did a good job and then she rolled back onto her back and then onto her stomach one more time, just to prove she could! We're so proud of our little monkey!
