Picnic!

It was a beautiful day so I decided to take the kids outside for a picnic lunch! Yes, NYers I know was you're thinking, "It was warmer here than it was in FL." Well ya know what, that's perfectly fine, because I wouldn't have wanted it any warmer, the temperature has been perfect lately, not too hot, not too cold!

So after we came back inside, the kids were playing and Casey found yet another new thing to climb on. This time it's his music table. This picture was taken after I had pulled him off for abotu the 4th time, and yes he just climbed right back up. After I snapped this, he dove onto the couch. He landed successfully, smiled at me and then rolled off the couch onto the floor where he bumped his head and started screaming. He sat in my lap for a few minutes and once he was calmed down squirmed out of my lamp just so he could climb back on the music table again!

Block Party Bash!

Two years ago Disney Stars and Motorcars Parade came to an end at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This was a parade that Daddy performed in when it opened and right up until he left entertainment. Mommy learned the parade shortly after starting in entertainment and performed in it for about 3 years until it closed. When that parade left, in came Block Party Bash; a high-energy parade with 2 show stops featuring Pixar characters from Toy Story, Monsters Inc, A Bug's Life and The Incredibles. I made it my goal to become friends with Jessie in this parade. Well in February I got my opportunity to learn exactly that! It was a long and exhausting rehearsal process, but I loved it! I got to perform my new role for the first time and Daddy and the kids came to watch! They enjoyed the parade and afterwards Piper said to me, "Mommy, we saw Jessie and she gave me a kiss!"

First Haircuts

Casey's hair was starting to get very overgrown. It was in his eyes and way over his ears. So we decided to take the kids to Magic Kingdom to get their first haircuts at the Main Street Barber Shop. And yes, you read correctly, this was Piper's first haircut too! On the way over we told Piper what was going to happen. She got upset at first and told us that it was going to hurt. We assured her that it wouldn't and that if she was good we could stay and watch the parade. She was great. She got to hold onto a Minnie toy and make her dress spin around. She just got a little trim and when she was done got Mickey First Haricut ears and pixie dust in her hair! After Piper finsihed it was Casey's turn. He was ok at first just sitting in the chair, but the second she put the paper towel around his shoulders it was all over. We tried putting stickers all over him. He just pulled them off and tried to throw them on the floor and then got mad when they just stuck to his hand. We tried blowing bubble, giving him a spinning car toy, and letting him play with the pixie dust. Nothing worked. He screamed the whole time. It wasn't the ideal situation, but it was kind of funny and will be a great story when he gets bigger!
